Sci-fi MOVIES WORTH WATCHING.

Updated: Jul 8, 2020

There are many Sci-fi movies which are far better than those cringy, many at times,

unnerving and galling teen movies that are being hyped for no reason (unpopular opinion perhaps) that will actually leave you motivated and full of imaginative.

Here are just a few of my all-time favourites.

Interstellar

"Love is the one thing we're capable of perceiving that transcends dimensions of time and space."

Director: Christopher Nolan

Budget: 16.5 crores USD (2013)

Awards: Academy Award for Best Visual Effects and more.

This movie is directed by none other than Christopher Nolan, needless to say, the movie is top-notch. Although it is not scientifically accurate, it's still extremely enjoyable.

It starts off with a brilliant NASA physicist, working on plans to save mankind by transporting Earth's population to a new home via a wormhole....yikes! I'll not tell you anything further, you'll have to find out for yourself. Ten outta ten would recommend.

(this is also the kind of movies some people pretend to like but don't actually understand it, you'll have to really think what's happening in the movie...our minds have now been so accustomed to those 'dull-witted' movies that this will definitely be a nice change. )

The Martian

"Everywhere I go, I am the first. Step outside the rover-first guy to be there! Climb a hill, first guy to climb that hill!"

Director: Ridley Scott

Box office: 63.02 crores USD

Awards: Golden Globe Award for Best Actor – Motion Picture Musical or Comedy and more.

This movie took the 'being left out' phenomenon to a whole new level. Astronaut Mark Watney was left behind on Mars by his team and was thought to have died in a storm, but He was very much alive. He had to survive on the meagre supply of goods he had left and had to adjust with just that till someone from earth arrives to help him. As he was running out of supplies, he started cultivating potatoes in Marsian soil!

This is one of my all-time favourite movies.
